One aspect of my body that I’m consistently complemented on is my skin. Usually, I laugh as I’m not the best as accepting compliments (and they obviously haven’t seen my post-twin belly…), but also because taking care of my skin has been a daily battle since I was very young. I have extremely dry skin and I have to be very careful regarding the products I use, time spent in the water, and overall skin care unless I want to end up with an itchy rash all over my body. My son, Bo, has also been blessed with this skin which we’ve dubbed “alligator skin.”
Since I was eight the only type of soap or body wash I’ve been able to use is Dove brand products. Therefore, it was a no-brainer for me when I was asked to review Dove’s new VisibleCare™ Softening Crème Body Wash. This product was obviously made with someone like me in mind. It is designed to soften skin and dry spots using a mild cleanser and glycerin to clean and nourish the skin.
I received the body wash last week and I’ve used it several times and I’ve been very pleased. It smells good (the bottle says it is a combination of magnolia and pink jasmine) and it does leave my skin feeling clean and soft. Of all of the many Dove body washes (most of which I’ve tried) the new line contains the highest concentration of NutriumMoisture technology.
An 18 oz. bottle of any of the three new Dove® VisibleCare Body Wash products retails for $6.69. The three types include: Toning Crème Body Wash which helps to promote skin’s elasticity and strength, Renewing Body Wash nourishes and replenishes skin, and the Softening Body Wash (which I tried) that softens skin and dry spots.
